I am originally from Southland and have had hearing loss since I was a child. At the age of 17 I had a motorcycle accident resulting in being permanently paralysed. I have worked in local government finance and administration and for the last 20 years or so has worked in the disability section. I live with my partner and have one grown up son. I love nothing more than to being out on my hand cycle or riding my custom-made trike.
